NULABEL [New Label]

A shirt made from a combination of typewriter and nylon taffeta.
The design combines a typewriter dyed and woven in Okayama with recycled nylon fabric, and the garment is dyed using persimmon tannin and kurazome dyeing.
The indigo weft threads change colour with each dye, and the difference in texture between the cotton and nylon creates contrast in the items.
Persimmon tannin dyeing is a method of dyeing fabric using the juice of harvested persimmons that has been left to mature for over three years, while Kurezome is a dyeing technique in which persimmon tannin dyed fabric is mordant-treated with water containing iron to turn it black.
Tannins have deodorizing and anti-odor effects, as well as improving durability and waterproofing.
Because it is hand-dyed, there are uneven areas in the fabric, giving it a unique look.
Different parts of the material age differently over time, so they will age and change with wear, making them an item you can enjoy, including the color changes and fading that occur as you wear them.
It is also possible to re-dye.
