NULABEL "GARMENT DYED CONTRACTION QUILTED VEST"
NULABEL [New Label]
Quilted vest made from 70x210 denier recycled nylon twill.
The items are dyed using persimmon tannin dyeing and Kurezome dyeing, both methods that have been popular in Japan since ancient times.
It is designed to stretch significantly horizontally, so it can move with you when worn over an outer layer, and it has 80g of cotton sandwiched inside to ensure good heat retention.
It is inspired by the quilted cushioning material used by moving companies and we think it is the next level material for workwear.
Persimmon tannin dyeing is a method of dyeing fabric using the juice of harvested persimmons that has been left to mature for over three years, while Kurezome is a dyeing technique in which persimmon tannin dyed fabric is mordant-treated with water containing iron to turn it black.
Tannins have deodorizing and anti-odor effects, as well as improving durability and waterproofing.
Because it is hand-dyed, each piece has a unique look.
It will change over time with wear and can also be re-dyed.
